This bit has light control and is excellent for training or relaxed pleasure riding. The small chain mouth conforms well to the bars and tongue making it comfortable for your horse to pack. Because the chain conforms to the shape of the horse’s mouth the horse can move the links around on his tongue to place the bit in a more comfortable location which leads to a quieter mouth. The short gag action collects a horse very well – it helps to get your horse’s legs underneath him and his hind end down. Copper pacifiers are great for the nervous horse and encourage salivation.
Designed to be used with a curb chain.
Copper is a soft metal, watch for excessive wear. Sweet iron is intended to rust, this creates a sweet taste that encourages salivation for a more supple mouth.
Stage B is all about transition, with the introduction of leverage and curb pressure. Short shanked bits and half-gags comprise Stage B.
